Amplifying Community Voice

A strategic group that directs resources towards community mobilization by amplifying the voices of stakeholders and residents. Specifically, this workgroup will focus on increasing protective factors and decreasing risk factors to build healthier communities.

Success will include documented changes as evidenced by increases in community pride, voice, belonging, safety/health and a decrease in substance use.

Law enforcement officials and McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital are committed to hosting a Medication Take Back Day in the community every April and October. Residents are encouraged to bring expired or unused prescription and over-the-counter medications to be disposed of in a safe, environmentally friendly way. Oxford, Oxford Township, and Miami University Police departments have a permanent drop box as well as McCullough-Hyde Memorial Hospital.
